ABOUT

∆DEEN is a New York City based fashion line from 21 year old lower east side native Rembrandt Duran. Remy is striving toward his vision of building ADEEN into a lifestyle brand using individuality, originality, and knowledge of style. His goal is to bring “fun” back into the world of fashion.

The ADEEN collection began as a series of plush pins. The plush pins were something Remy had wanted to do for years. The idea came from his childhood collection of Beanie Babies and the dream of one day having his own “army” of plushys. The characters of Assman, Cloud and Tree are something Remy created back in 3rd grade. He had wanted to be a cartoonist but later decided that style and fashion were his real passions. Fusing the two things together gave him an opportunity to give life to characters he had loved for years.

The RoseHood plush pin collection is an ode to Remy’s childhood memories of his Nana’s garden. The staples of that collection are black and red plush rose pins. The collection now includes a sunflower, daisy and poppy as well as limited release roses in different colors/patterns.

The A D N line is a capsule collection of snap back caps and necklaces using acrylic. This collection was done in collaboration with NYC based jewelry designer CHRISHABANA, and blends Habana’s signature dark biblical style with the youthful energy of ADEEN. “Think of it as a gothic cartoon, inspired by villains from the cartoons of my childhood,” says Duran.

The inspiration for Rembrandt’s SATURDAY line goes perfectly with the ADEEN brand and its core message of bringing back that Saturday morning cartoon feel. “Style and fashion shouldn’t be a look but a feeling” says Duran. Saturday meant all the things that Rembrandt loved most. It has since expanded to include Saturday Night. Continuing his work with acrylic, this time a bit more serious, Remy uses black, white, silver and neon to showcase his maturation yet still keeping the concepts fun.

The brand has evolved over time with the success of the acrylic adorned caps first introduced with the A D N capsule collection.

The City/Country series honors the cities and countries that inspire Remy and the second series titled A black and White Series is inspired by the nineties club kid era serving as a backdrop for people, places and periods of time in Duran’s life.

Each subsequent series of hats expands on the one before, with each hat having a personal meaning. Every piece in the ADEEN collection tells a story and cumulatively the brand tells the story of Remy. From the music and movies he loves, to the special people in his life.

SS13 brings bright colors, more hats and ADEEN’s first foray into garments. We are really excited to incorporate the fundamental principles of the brand in a new fresh way.

Always looking for something new and out of the norm, Remy wants to do collaborations with artists in other mediums. He would one day like to work on designing wardrobe for a cartoon.

ADEEN hats can be seen on some notable heads in the sports, fashion and entertainment industries. People such as New York Knick J.R. Smith, fashion models Sessilee Lopez, Selita Ebanks, Andrej Pejic and Robin Lawley. K Pop artists G Dragon, Nicole from Kara and Hyuna and Taiwanese entertainer Van Ness and varied musical artists such as Red Café, Cassie, Zebra Katz, Major Lazer, B.O.B., Kreayshawn, Future, Azealia Banks and Will.i.am.

Integral to the brand is Eric Narvaez who currently attends college at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston MA. and serves as the brand’s Graphic Design Director.

Remy’s ambition is to turn ADEEN into a lifestyle brand. A classic brand with a modern look and feel.
